I always drink Grey Goose just to avoid the rot gut stuff, but honestly while I like screwdrivers and always drink vodka this way, I can't tell that much of a difference in vodka. When I try to sip, they all smell and taste just like rubbing alcohol to me. I imagine nothings really any better than Grey Goose? I hear good things about 3 Olives, Finlandia (didn't it beat Grey Goose one year?), Belvedere, Ketel One, Chopin, Stoli? What about this Ciroc I keep seeing at the register? do think anything made with Skyy is pretty bad.
Gin is probably similar, but I haven't tried anything but Tanqueray. I'm mainly a tequila and bourbon drinker.

Anyone like the flavored vodkas from Grey Goose, etc?

Anyone tried black vodka? Check out the cool looking mixed drinks.

Yes, Tequila.

It actually has flavor.


I got this tequila liqueur in St. Thomas called Agavero, it mixes real well with Patron :):):)

In my opinion, if you are mixing expensive liquor with gatorade, orange jucie, or soda you are wasting your money. Drink it straight up, or mixed with water or club soda.

Although I'm the biggest fan of vodka that I've ever met, I must admit there are a few things which slightly surpass vodka on a scale of 1 to 10. They are all more expensive though.

when it comes to coctails, I can't notice the difference between mid-range and premium vodkas.

you can definitely tell if they used some crappy, plastic-bottle vodka, though.

Are you drinking vodka just for the alcohol content?

People who know how to drink dont mix it with watermellon gatorade so you "can't event taste the achole"

I prefer Scotch. Black Label or above.
Don't like Chivas.
A lil dirty Grey Goose is good. Having one right now. :)

Agreed. Go drink some whiskey. Learn what alcohol is for. Anyone who doesn't like the taste of alcohol is too young to drink it.

Also, the point of good vodka is TO HAVE A GOOD FLAVOUR!!! To cover up that flavour is criminal. If all you want is something that will mess you up without hurting your delicate sensibilities, buy cheap stuff and Brita it. Then mix it with the Pussy Juice of your choice.

Simple rule: Good alcohol:Good flavour, Bad alcohol:Bad flavour. Mix is for the bad stuff.

Cheapest Vodka I know of is Alexi only seen bums drink that stuff


and another great tasting not to expensive vodka is STOLICHNAYA, this is one of the best tasting Vodka's I have ever tasted and its cheap

Try it and love it

So you vodka connesuiers don't think your expensive vodka of choice smells like rubbing alcohol, and tastes like what you think rubbing alcohol would taste like?

If you do mix vodka, what's your favorite thing to mix with, besides the obvious OJ or cranberry juice? What about the new berry 7up Plus?

Interesting vodka article/test. Says Cîroc was the worst of the 11 they tested.

How's Blue Ice vodka?

Finally somebody agrees that Cîroc tastes like ass.:)

Chopin all the way when drinking straight.

When mixing I prefer VOX and tonic.

Pvssy! Change the vodka to Everclear and then you got a half decent drink.

Hell make it 2 parts Everclear 0 parts vodka and then you have a man's drink!

But honestly, why would you butcher Kettle One by mixing it with Watermelon Gatorade. Drink it straight up, on the rocks, or at least make a GOOD mixed drink. If you can afford Kettle One, you can afford decent mixing stuff.

Blue Ice is decent.

There are a few different mixes for making Appletinis and the like. Apple Pucker, Watermelon Pucker & Rasberry Pucker make great martinis. Half vodka, half mixer, shake and strain into a cocktail glass.

I prefer mine the traditional way though. Vodka shaken in ice and strained into a cocktail glass with or without a well rinsed olive as a garnish.
