Question Is there any X570 motherboard WITHOUT a chipset fan?

I've been looking to upgrade my and my wife's desktop computers. I've got a 4790k based computer while she's got a 3570k. Think it's about time to move up, but after spending an inordinate amount of time looking at X570 motherboards, it seems they all have chipset fans, something I really, really, really want to avoid. I lived through the chipset cooling era and have no want to repeat that crap.....chipset fans seem to be the failure point that strikes first...and early. And they're loud. And whine.....like I'm doing.

Anyway, other than sacrificing the X570 chipset for a B450 chipset based motherboard, any options in X570 without a chipset fan?

Without spending some ridiculous amount of cash and ending up with a chipset that is liquid cooled with tubing and pumps to fail.

for more stuff about vrm on 570 boards id suggest to have a look at buildzoids chan (or his board breakdowns
at gamers nexus)

summing up:
- you wont get a passive cooled chipset on 570 board in reasonable price ranges.
- on most 570 boards the fan ist mostly idle if their controlsoft doesnt suck.
at least on MSi boards (eg the unify) the fan is idle most of the time.

I think that was an unfortunate issue, I would have much preferred a chipset without a fan. But I guess, PCI-E 4.0 speeds for GPUs and dual NVMe SSDs, demanded it.

Anyways, I'm "content" more-or-less, running B450 boards. I might not be getting the maximum features and performance out of my Ryzen 3000-series CPUs (namely, PCI-E 4.0 support for GPU and NVMe), but... they're stable.

Although, given my GPU fans spinning up due to mining, and my 240mm AIO WC fans + pump, I doubt that I would notice an additional chipset fan, unless the smaller size of it gave it a "characteristic" whine or something, that would be easier to pick out over the noise floor.

I guess I haven't fully decided myself. If B550 comes out (not B550A, which is really B450), and supports PCI-E 4.0 for the primary GPU slot and dedicated PCI-E x4 NVMe slot coming off of the CPU, but doesn't have a fan embedded into it (really, my concern is more about dust and longevity, rather than actual fan noise), then I maybe step up to a B550 board.

Though, I do like to run dual GPUs and dual NVMe SSDs. (My Asus B450-F ROG STRIX allows me to do that, x8 / x4 for primary/secondary GPUs, and PCI-E 3.0 x4/x4 for the primary and secondary NVMe sockets.)

I have the MSI X570 MEG ACE and I can confirm the chipset fan is not audible over other fans.

I to have the MEG ACE as well and the chipset fan sits idle most of the time. it isn't a issue with noise.

I have the ASUS x570 TUF - probably the cheapest out there, and I cannot hear the fan at all. The default CPU fan is much more audible.

are you wanting to run dual gpu's for mining? im curious, why dont miners use nvidia QUADRO cards would they not be more appropriate for mining than a gaming graphics card?
There are a few entry level 570 board with fanless chipsets like the gigabyte ultra durable line which used to be king before aorus was even a thought.
here's the problem with 570 chipset fans gigabyte makes some of the best boards, their MTBF on that chipset fan is ONLY 6000 hours, by comparison a good 120 mm case fan wit ball bearings ( chipset fans are small and sleeve bearing which is why they end up making ungodly pull your hair out squealing noise toward end of life) would last 50000 hours or more. This means the chipset fan will fail within a year or two most likely. My last build was 2012 and back then mobo manufacturers realized the irony of chipset fans and had stopped using them for some time, I cringe to find them once again on boards and why are they back? because of BLING. in 2012 most cases were not made of glass and had one or two fans on the side of the case blowing directly into the case for the graphics card and chipsets some still had windows but the bottom portion would allow you to install fans if you wanted. Something thats even more practical and necessary now with Graphics cards hitting their dimensional wall and using alot of power generating alot of heat but no no no we cant have practical because you kids have to have all those dam LED's and bling in your case which has landed us where we are today with a bunch of dam useless glass cases that are poorly ventilated necessitating a chipset fan on the motherboard. NOT GOOD NOT PRACTICAL MOST IRRITATING. I would welcome warmly a return to side mounted fans on the cases and as stated earlier it doesnt have to obstruct the entire view inside. there you have it, my two cents from someone who's built hundreds of custom computer systems.

those chipset fans are SLEEVE BEARING, you may not hear them now but as they reach maturity mid life to end of life 2000 t0 6000 hours of operation they will squeal with an irritating pitch like a pig in heat, this is why they were ditched by manufacturers and wisely so, now that cases do not have SIDE FAN options and are generally made of glass they went back to chipset fans.

Actually a lot of them are ball bearing not sleeve. You can't get high endurance from sleeve bearings.

Oh and for the OP, if you really must have a fanless board you can overpay for a Dark Hero board.

if just general use with light gaming then you could grab an A520 board and throw an R5 3600 on it.
