I like manual transmission, a lot more fun to drive, but the clutch is doing a number on my left hip/knee/hamstring.

Some more information would be helpful, such as the car make, model, year, and etc. Also, do you have a conventional or a hydraulic clutch?

Dual friction clutch, or increase the leverage of the pedal.

Failing this, convert it to auto.

Get yourself an aftermarket clutch pedal and mount it as low as possible. This will give you more leverage. Just make sure the bottom edge doesn't touch the floor when the pedal is all the way in.

are you even on aftermarket clutch? it's stock right? i find that amazing.

My friend's sister drives an integra with a stage 3 clutch and she never complains about how hard it is.

My friend though, complains about it all the time =P.

Move your seat closer so you get more leverage. Your leg should still be slightly bent with the clutch all the way to the floor.

I think the only way to make the clutch easier to press is with a lightweight flywheel.

whats with all these comments about being a wuss? it has nothing to do with that, if my leg hurts its not something I can control you idiots. Just because certain things hurt some people and do not hurt others is no reason to be intolerant or make stupid comments.

Start cycling. My leg used to get tired after a 1.5hrs plus in rush hour traffic on the freeway, but cycling has done wonders. I could now knock your head clean off, like Chuck Norris.
