Is there any way to save your window's updates?

It seems to me that I will have to reinstall windows which is a huge pain + all the updates will be terrible. Is there a folder where all the files are stored and can be copied so I won't have to redo all this?

Yep, its pretty cool, too. If you have many downloads, it will separate them into individual folders/categories:

1. Go to the Windows Update web site.

2. In the left pane, under Other Options, select ?Personalize Windows Update?.

3. Under ?Set Options for Windows Update?, select the checkbox for ?Display the Link to Windows Update Catalog under ?See Also??, then click ?Save Settings?.

5. Reload/refresh the Windows Update web site.

6. In the left pane, under ?See Also?, select ?Windows Update Catalog?.

7. Select ?Find Updates for Microsoft Operating Systems?.

8. Select the operating system and language of your choice.

9. Select ?Critical Updates and Service Packs? (or other download category).

10. Select all of the patches you?d like to download, then click on ?Go to download basket? to download them.

11. Select a drive and directory to download your selections to, then proceed with your download.

Good Stuff...worked great...the path to whatever folder you download to cannot be more than 50 characters in length...no biggie though.

Slight extension of this....have 2 PC's, identical in every way....have downloaded all available windows 2000 updates for 1 machine using conventional method....was wondering if there is a way to transfer this over the other PC other than say using ghost?
