realevent.exe & realsched.exe. (Use Ctl-Alt-Del to halt realsched.exe from running, first). Then use System Mechanic's "Windows Startup Manager" button to delete from startup "TKBell". System Mechanic here: http://ftp.iolohost.com/system_mechanic.exe
Good info.

Did you guys know there's a free REALONE Player now? It contains no ads that I've seen. I'd do what vailr said after installing though...

A RealPlayer install is needed for the engine. The default install of lots of software attempts to overwhelm your machine with crap. Be it WMP, QuickTime, or whatever. I also use RP8 and it is simply a matter of configuring it to disable unwanted "features". Anyhoo, the best media player bar none is Media Player Classic. I use it for everything (yes, even Real Media) except the odd QuickTime (perhaps someday) and MP3 ('cause I use Winamp's visual plugins).

On a related topic, I found the best little proggie out there, it's called "Real7ime Converter"... it converts Real stuff to other formats...

Go to this site:

http://soft.km169.net/soft/html/5481.htm

and try the two download links.

This is gray-area software (anyone here remember Streambox Ripper ?), but it'll work.

*edit*

Also, I've found the page with all the previous REAL PLAYER versions... get them while they're still up (version 8 is all I needed myself):

hm, mplayer has played real media for a while now, but i dont think it runs on windows.

It still requires RP be installed. Although, it's not a big deal because RP on unix is much less annoying and intrusive than on Windows =)
