is there any way to play css without connecting to the net

is There Any way that i could play Counter Strike source without being online ?
since i'm on a slow line and i just want to play on my LAN with one system runnin' HLDS

coz if i start up CSS without being connected to the i got a "Bla Bla Bla No Route to Host " Error,
is there any way to get around this ?

YOu should be able to create a LAN server with bots.

Playing with Steam in offline mode shouldn't require a connection.

i already tried to run HLDS on one system which is set as the gateway computer on my LAN
but upon startup ( if i'm not online ) CSS still freeze after with a "no route to host error"

is there a configuration file within CSS that i need to modify ?
coz after i checked the the logs of the error i found out that "steamengine.exe" is searching a subnet that is not on my network ( 207.*.*.* ) is there a way to point the steamengine to search on my local subnet ( 192.*.*.* ) or the loop through IP ( 127.0.0.1 ) .

if all else fail i'll try reinstalling steam and CSS altogether

It's looking for the master server probably. The issue here is the game is designed exclusively for multiplayer, so the code was probably written with the assumption you are connected to the internet.
