she NEVER stops biting. thats ALL she wants to do, shes always climbing on me and stuff, and only when she just gets up she doesnt bite/scratch. Other then that shes biting me somewhere..

is there a way to stop this?

Ive tried saying no, and locking her in a room when it happens, doesnt work, she is still aggressive when i take her out 🙁

any ideas?

Thanks! 🙂

I use a spray bottle with water to deter my kittens from doing bad things. But I fear all it's done is make them afraid of the bottle 🙁

cats can be trained with food. find something the cat loves to eat, and reward her when she isn't biting.

shes only 8 weeks old, what can she eat?

I dont wanna give her table food, what about those "Pounce" treats?

Thanks! 🙂

Cats ears are very sensitive. Try thumping her on the ear... not too hard, but just to get her attention.

Its very normal she is teething and wants to bite things..
and claws are growing too..
they will settle down pretty fast within 6 months..

my kittens have already entered lazy cat mode at 7 months...

If she bites too hard while playing with you yell "OW" really loud. That should get her to stop. This works with adult cats too.

As far as scratching stuff that she's not supposed to, get a plant/sprayer and spray her with water when she does something bad. That should get her to stop bad behavior pretty quick.

Oh god, why'd you have to go and post those pics. Now I want to get another kitty!

I don't think my two 13yr olds would put up with it though.

You can use a normal nail clipper. Some vets recommend against it, some don't. I have used a nail clipper, though I prefer scissors designed for cutting cat nails, because they are easier to use. The only real potential issue is that sometimes it allegedly can cause the nail to crack, which is bad.

Since you have a kitten you are likely to get away with doing stuff that those of us with older cats get the treatment from them for doing, such as nail clipping, brushing teeth, etc. I would definitely try to get them into brushing their teeth.

What I do when I want to clip nails is catch them while they are sleeping, and do a few at a time.
