Is there any way to make my headphones louder?

when I hook them up to my pc its too soft, and when I hook them up to the port on my speakers only one side works. Is there anything I can do to make my headphones louder when I hook them up to my motherboard? Special driver, special program?

Have u tried raising the volume in windows? It should be able to go unbearably loud from that control... Sorry if you've already tried this just in case i thought id mention it.. Maybe the headphones are just crap though..

The output from most PC soundcards is Line Level and meant to be output to a pair of amplified speakers. If all your volume controls are maxed and its still not loud enough there really is nothing more you can do about it. Its a hardware limitation, nothing software can do about it.

Some higher-end soundcards have the ability to make one port a headphone port, but I have yet to see any built on audio on a motherboard have this feature.

Yeah I figured thats what was up. Thats why my headphone are loud through the connection to my speakers, they are being amplified by the speaker amp. Is there anyway I can hook an amp up to my headphones?

Are you sure you tried the windows volume control? Because it can make any of my headphones unbearably loud.
