is there any way to disable the spacebar from scrolling you to the bottom of a webpage?

I often read the news with my 1yr old son sitting on my lap. He has a tendancy to hit the spacebar alot, which often causes my to loose my place...no biggie, just kind of annoying.

is there any way to disable the spacebar from doing this?

yeah, I noticed that after I first wrote this. I guess he tends to hold it down, which makes it seem like it's jumping to the bottom

After he does it once, anticipate the next time and hold down SHIFT before he gets to it...repeat

Or just hold down ALT all the time...
