Is there any way to check my total Social Security contributions ?

I would like to know how much I have given, in total, to Social Security since I got my first job.

Can it be done ?

yep by taking ur paystubs and checking the totals at the end of each year

Yes. You get all your W-2's (the copy that you're supposed to keep for 5 years or so), and add up the field that says "Social security".

Other than that, I doubt it, you could TRY calling the IRS and asking...

Not sure. I know they send me a "statement" every year showing what I've paid and how much I'll receive.
