is there any way i can hook my shelf system up to my PC?

Does it have any kind of LINE-IN (PHONO, AUX, VCR, DVD, etc..?)

If so, just plug the LINE-OUT of your soundcard to that..
If not, I don't think you will be able to hook it up.

SO, I don't know how he would do it then.

From the sounds of it he doesn't need a line-in on his reciever, he needs it on his PC, and the Audigy certainly has one.
I run a 600W amplifier off my SB Live! with two ground-standing 350W/ea. towers and its just fine, only problem being the output is so high that I have to keep Winamp/Windows volume setting way low, 50% of either one would be BLASTING it and 50% of each would blow it.

Really wish there was an un-powered line-out on the card.

Says it can used for home theater and makes reference to tv. I would bet it has rca inputs for tv audio...
look on the back dood and see if there are red and white rca jacks that say TV or AUX
helps out a bit
