Construction companies are almost always looking for grunts. Not bad $$ either. Just don't tell them your quitting after 2 weeks.

They're used to people quitting after a short time though because it is very labor intensive. I worked for one for 3 days before I quit.

However, I quit because I had been waiting on another job offer and couldn't wait any longer w/out some $$.

You can stand on the corner downtown with the illegals and wait for labor truck to come by and scoop you up.

Drug dealer.

Sheesh, people. Two hours, ten posts, and no one's suggested this? :p

Edit - Hmm. LA. Might be a bit of a saturated market, and mind you don't step on anyone's toes. ;)

Save the whales, et. al. groups are always looking for fresh meat to help advance their causes. Look in your local indepent newspaper or weekend journal. I don't have the company's name off had, but I'm sure you can find one of those group places. Pay is somewhere between $300 and $500 a week. Expect door-to-door kinda work.

also from one of our local ads (haven't called so don't know if it is really legit or a money scheme)-
CONSTRUCTION WORKERS. Entry-level, full-time jobs, no experience, we train. Salary with benefits. Ages 17-34 with High School diploma, physically fit. Call 1-800-662-7231 for local interview. (NCPS)
