Is there any reason for high end RAM if you are not overclocking?

Ok From what I understand the highest FSB is 800 mhz which would utilize PC3200 RAM-
So would there be any advantage at all to having RAM higher than PC3200 if you were not overclocking?
I was under the impression that this could acually hurt performance if the FSB and RAM were not in sync
Thanks

IMO, there's no reason to get higher speed if you're not O/Cing. But make sure that you get the good RAM, or you'll have problems with intermittent locked up, blue screen, etc.

More expensive does not always = better. Get quality RAM, from names that are trusted. I personally prefer Corsair or Crucial. To answer your question, not really. Previously, "more future-proofing" was an argument, but as DDRII is around the corner, this arguement is largely irrelevent.

Well, sometimes faster ram than needed can add to stability when the mobo or ram is just a little under spec.

I have 1 gig of Infineon ram pc3200 running on my asus k8V deluxe (ram approved). Anyone has an opinion on Infineon ram?
