Is There any program that works like VCR+ on a tv tuner?

Well, I've never used anything where you can input the VCR Plus codes and it work,

buuuut,

I have used the ATI TV Card (Separate Card) and the ATI AIW Radeon (TV TUNER Built in) and both programs have a scheduler which allows you to record. You set up your channel listings by your area & the bundled program downloads a TV Guide which you can then use to schedule a recording (single, repeat, etc) by browsing through the channel listings. It aslo had the capability to record at a fixed time/fixed channel (in case your channels didn't automatically line up)

well, i meant record the whole show without the commercials automatically

that's what VCR (+) means

What does VCR + have to do with commercials??? 😕😕😕

ok....

On a VCR+, you can input the number of the show, and the VCR will automatically record the whole show, and not record any of the commercials.

I beleive thats incorrect..

YOu put in the code, and it records the entire timeframe that the show is supposed to run; commercials are included.

He's right. I have VCR+ and that's the way it works. You just punch in a code from the TV guide and it kicks the VCR on and off at the right time and starts recording. Does not remove commercials.

On a separate note, anyone got TV Guide+ on their TV? I have an RCA tv that is supposed to have all the TV listings built in. You punch a button and it shows you what you're watching and all that. It worked until recently and the cable company quit updating the content. I think that Gemstar puts it out. I also have a TV capture card and it would be really cool to pair that with your TV Capture card.

BTW - If you're recording shows I assume you record straight to MPG for size reasons. What program do you recommend for that? Free/shareware or a demo would be nice....

o, i thought it skipped the commercials...at least that's what i was told. sorry about that.

and the best program for capturing IMO is VirtualDub.
