Is there any hope for me?

Today, I did something that I will never forget, something that made me realize how much a geek I am. I am in science class, and we're studying Mitosis, and the teacher is telling us that the cell can do multiple things at once. I am in my desk thinking, wow, that almost exactly like Intel's Hyperthreading, or Amd's x86-64.

Imidiatly after thinking this, I was ashamed of myself, not one other person in this whole room would think of something like...mind you, I'm in Honors Biology, some what of a more "nerdy" class.

I'm asking you in plea of any suggestions you can give me to overcome this "geekiness", and please, I'm desperate here, and help would be greatly appreciated.

what is wrong with that?

embrace your geekiness , you will make mo money in the long run than those other non-geeks

have you ever read the Michael Jordon vs Bill Gates thing?

i will go look for it , BRB

one of them , but not the one i am looking for, the bottom half of the page is it

i can't find the exact one, it was going around by fax back in '96 or '97 , but the one linked is essentially the same, geeks put athlete's to shame when it comes to making money ;)

You are beyond hope, you are forever doomed to say things like w00t, and whenever you buy something you will be tempted to ask that immortal question: "How well does it overclock?"

Last time I checked, people can't persecute you for what you are thinking...why would it matter what you are thinking? If it is a hobby that you are interested in, more power to you...

That is some much appreciated words. I believe that, hopefully, in the long run, my computer knowledge will lead me to accomplish great and amazing things.

Who ever said that being "cool" is all that there is to life. I try hard every day to realize that, maybe, if I try really hard, I can show all of these popular guys that, yes, spending hours on your computer, carefully tweaking it to its max, is in fact more "cool" than anything they will ever do.

The tough part for me is that, while I do play sports (Football, Golf, BBall), a "jock" can have a life outside of sports. In fact, I play the piano, saxaphone, and am in a very talented Highschool mens choir. The dream world is that, eventually, people will realize that, there is more to do than, go to the weight room and, in time I am determined to convince these "jocks", just that.

Now if only I had some sort of device to help me with that......;)
