is there any correlation between height and long-distance running speed

Shorter people have shorter legs so it would seem logical that taller runners would be faster but there are fast short people too and i want to know why short people can run fast too

my government teacher is a phenomenal runner. hes fast, but he specializes in distances. he does marathons as often as he can, hes like 56 years old or something, and finishes in top spots. oh ya, hes short. also, he told us that if any of us could beat him in a fairly long distance race, he'd give us an A....no one even bothered.

rofl i can type run on sentences too and sometimes i think about unicorns but im not sure they are real cause the frogs can't run faster than them and maybe its because frogs hop but dont run although aerodynamicallyess unicorns are not as good as frogs might be if they didnt have to hop and stuff

No cross-country members in your class? I might have given it a shot during my school days.

My physics teacher looked like a regular middle-aged guy, but he was strong as hell. Maybe not just that, but well balanced too. Would challenge anyone to those upsidedown wall pushups.

The short guy on my cross country team claimed short people get better leverage. I'm tall so I never bothered to confirm it, though. Tall people get better stride length at least.
