Nah, I'd never be soooo dumb as apply a label to an entire group of people. I just tried to point out its personality over any thing else that will win you the babe in the end.


I do however work with one (1) indian guy who has a very very bad attitude towards women. I don't know if his &quot;woman must worship man&quot; attitude is common in india, but that crap don't flush here. I'm not an indian, and I don't play one on TV...

- There are more asian gals going out with white guys than the other way around.
- Those asian gals going out with white guys are usally not the best 'looking' ones.
- But if a white gal goes out with an asian guy, that asian guy is usually 'good' quality.

Now, about the Asian guys and white girls thing... I've been asking that a lot recently. More recently I've gotten kind of disillusioned with the Asian female population here at Berkeley (surprising, considering Asians are the majority at the school). I've been looking at a lot of white girls but they don't seem to like/hang around Asian girls, let alone Asian guys.

What is it? I don't know, but I would surely like to know. I think a lot of it has to do with an inherent &quot;they don't look like me&quot;. I'm not saying racist, because I have a lot of friends who are white females; they just don't see us as dating material. I would like to get some more feedback on this issue, so post what you got.

By the way, I'm 100% Taiwanese. Yes, there is a difference(tm).

Edit: I keep an eye out for hapa-haoles too.. Whew, some of them are the best! Having the best of both worlds. They are the ones that understand not only the American culture but also the Asian culture.

There are lots of other white girls besides barbie dolls. The thing is, I think you are in Cali, which puts you smack dab in the middle of barbie doll central. All those plastic babes want is to look like pamela anderson and date tommy lee. That's just F'd up man. Stay away from them.

Get your self a down to earth girl. They are the best.

freemanteo ~ Here's a picture of me and my boyfriend, and an older one of me in Toronto when I highlighted my hair blonde (taken last summer).

Here's a recent picture of me and some of the girls in my hall (I'm second from the right, next to the blonde). The girl in the middle is Vietnamese, and she's been with a very sweet white boy for over 3 years now. The girl on the far left is Korean, and she'll ONLY date Asian guys... it's all about personal preference.

Is it just me, or do asians seem very anti-social towards others? They seem to like to segregate themselves in their own little circle of friends. In school, I would see a bunch of them hanging out, smoking, chillin, wutever, and occasionally one or two non-asians with them. Not to label all asians, but this seems to be how the majority of asians are in the northeast.

This all coming from a cool asian, who has asian and non-asian friends <-- a good number.

yep, most asians are abit more conservative than the locals here.

our parents teaches us some traditional values too. It all adds up.

And being a minority tends to give us the security and warmth of being together with our same ethnic/nationality/cultured friends.

I'm kinda surprised actually. We make up a pretty good chunk of the Anandtech population, more so than we should demographically. Does that say something about Vietnamese ppl and a tendency to go technical?

Also, Houston Born and Raised. H TOWN BABY! I'm currently in college in Boston though. Miss the good ol' PHO of Htown like crazy.
