Is there another way to change cards voltage besides MSI Afterburner

Hi, first off sorry if this has been covered before, but I didn't find it.

All that is talked about is MSI Afterburner.

When I had my 460 1GB before I blew it up by touching metal on video card,, With that card I used MSI Afterburner and I maxed the voltage to 1150 and I had a kick butt overclock.

Now with the latest MSI beta , I cant even overclock , I mean I can I do it when I launch the game it shuts off comp or freezes. Even if I move 5mhz from 850mhz stock core games dont work. Soo I pruned MSI Afterburner and I started using EVGA Precision. With it I am able to get this kick butt overclock. However I wanna go further,, is there a way to change voltage of the card without using MSI Afterburner. I know riva tuner is out of business the way it looks... is there a app, or a tweak or something. Because I cant go passed 950Mhz core unless I touch the voltage. Thanks all gg and gl,

Did it occur to you that 950mhz GPU speed on a GTX560 Ti @ 1.012V is a very high overclock already? I really don't think the problem is the software here. What are you expecting 1100 mhz on 1.01V overclocking with Fermi? The only reasonable way for you to get higher clocks is to raise voltage to 1.07-1.09 volts or so. But is the extra 50mhz of GPU speed worth it to risk damaging your card and much higher power consumption and heat to net another 4% performance? I think your GPU speed vs. voltage is already at an optimal level. Not to mention in situations where a GTX560 Ti is not fast enough to provide playability, another 50-100mhz overclock is going to do little to help.

If you want even more performance, start saving up for GTX600 or HD7900 series.

Asus has one as well I believe. If you already maxed out the slider the only other way is BIOS editing which will void your lifetime waranty. You're better off going SLI if it is still too slow for you. gl

Personally I would not go over 1150. I had a GTX 480 that I fried by running it at 1.2v. The 1150 limit is there for a reason, of course all cards are different and some may tolerate it forever. My card tolerated 1.2v for a month but what ended up dying wasn't the core but the VRMs. Nvidia VRMs [compared to AMD based on my experience] are not that great. Keep it at 1150 imo...But if you must try it, there are bios mods that raise the V limit up to 1.225 I believe. Outside of that you must do a hardware vmod.

For reference I also had a GTX 570 that died due to the VRMs dying on it. That card is a different story however since it wasn't overclocked...It just had poorer quality VRMs than what Nvidia usually supplies [and Nvidia's best ones are not great to begin with]. So you will probably nuke your VRMs sooner or later.
