is there an RealPlayer w/out the crap?

i hate REalplayer its the most bloated software ....

but i have to use it for some streaming audio
is there an Real player alternative that plays real formats?

No, they had to bloat it with banners and etc. to make a little money after MS started giving away Windows Media Player and WMA encoding tools to "cut off Real's oxygen" like they did to crush Netscape.

one of the older versions of winamp had a real plugin available and that is what I used to use. I don't know if there is a plugin for the latest version.

I found Tara's Real Audio Input Plugin v1.0.3b for Winamp but I couldn't get it to work.

I am trying to avoid installing RP on my new computer. so far I havn't found anything I REALLY needed to see that only supported RP.

anything that required RP I just disregard. (RealPlayer authors? are you listening?)
