Is there an MFC that doesn't suck?

I guess I'm pretty spoiled by these ridiculous Canon machines at work.

Looking for something that can print (laser preferred?)/copy/scan (needs an ADF)

Budget <500

Doable?

I have been using a small brother laser printer ( HL-2040) and have been very happy with it. Almost a year old no jams quick and quiet I would buy a Brother again with no reservations.

Just got a Canon ImageClass MF6540 for my wife's business. It's a laser that prints. copies, and scans, has an ADF, USB and network ports. Staples has it for 600 - 150 MIR until Sept.6. We've only had it three days but so far so good.

If you want an Inkjet and you look around, you might find a HP7410 for under $250 ... but it is now a discontinued model.
The replacement for it, looks different on the case and it uses seperate ink tanks, instead of the tricolor cartridges. But it
does a very good job and a lot of businesses use them.

Best Buy has the HP L7590 on sale this week for $199. It is a very good inkjet which uses the 88 tanks and comes with duplexer as well. Can also do bulk scanning through the document feeder straight to memory card as well. I went on Sunday to check it out and I am very tempted to buy even though I have no place to put it right now as it's pretty big.
