is there an easy way to straighten out ac condenser/radiator fins?

I believe that you can get a tool at a local parts store.

For most people this isnt a good idea. the cores are really fragile and a it doesnt take much to damage one. the plastic fork tool is the best option for it not to mention way faster then screw driver. i have one works well!

Does this significantly make the ac colder? I forgot my car was in an accident a while back and its pretty bent.

Air needs to be able to pass freely through it. If not, it will be much less efficient. My guess would be that the compressor would run longer than normal.

But if it is really bad, you may be better off with a new condenser installed
by an AC shop. The freon level may also be off a small amount.
