Is there an 802.11n pci-e adapter for Inspiron 9400?

I am picking up a replacement router for my house which is an n draft router and figured I might as well look for a card for my laptop. Is there one for the 9300, preferably Atheros based.

I looked on their site but only saw a/b/g ones. Do you have any idea what the part number is?

no part number either, but i have seen it on a newer inspiron..

food for thought...

Because the new wireless card is based on a draft standard, a Dell spokesperson admitted that there was no certainty that the same card could be updated to meet changes as the standard is finalized.

"There's no guarantee that the product can be upgraded," said Clay Rayborn, marketing manager for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for Dell, based in Round Rock, Texas. "This is one reason why we're not offering this on enterprise products," he said.

How do you feel about Ebay?

NM. You're model isn't listed as compatable.
This card is a MINI PCI-E which is only compatible with Notebooks that use a mini PCI-E. For Dell laptops that is ONLY Core Duo laptops/Core Solo/Core 2 Duo or newer.
Dell Inspiron: 640m, e1505, 6400, 9400, e1705, e1405, 1501

I even looked on ebay and didn't see that one. My model IS listed, it is the 4th one in on the Inspiron line. It even looks like that card has 2 antenna connections vs the standard 3 for an "n" card (my laptop only has 2 antenna's anyway).

Thanks!

There are a few news items that show that Atheros and Broadcom chipsets work together fine (my new router has an Atheros chipset and that card has a Broadcom chipset).

I found out last night that my brand new router does not support Super-G mode for 802.11g so it looks like I will be switching cards sooner rather than later. ARGH.
