Is there a working 8800 driver for Vista?

I'm not sure if they support G80 but they're quite new so they probably will.

Eh, thanks. No G80 driver in there... as evident by the BSOD when I tried to force the issue. :) I guess I'll just wait patiently till next week.

Have you tried editing the inf file??
To "make" it support the G80?
Do the Vista drivers still use the inf file?

If the driver code isn't there to support the hardware you can't just edit the INF and expect things to work.

I went through all of the INF files supplied, and the highest version string is for the G73. I doubt that the driver actually supports the G80.

Yeah, the modified INF won't work. I just downloaded an 8800 driver modified to work with the lower series cards and the setup said that it didn't modify my system. No driver was installed. Apparently the 8800 uses a completely new sys file/driver. They have it separate in the driver downloads page too. Are they forking it off from the normal ForceWare?

Not for the 8800, no.

There's a hefty discussion going on over at nVnews about it, including several people who've tried to get it to work..thus far, there's only one person that has, and he's not been able to provide us with the inf that he says works (Lord_Obsidian).
