I was wondering if there is any easy way to tell what DRM a game uses before I buy it? I game occasionally, but with all the DRM flood lately I would like to know what it is exactly that I install on my machine. I tried to google in the past games I wanted to buy, but often times the information I found was very inconsistent, especially since you can buy games from many different distribution channels, you can buy it retail, from Steam, from Direct2Drive. What's more complicated is that apparently games on Steam can still have DRM embedded in them. Is there an easy way to check what DRM a game uses? Is there some kind of centralized database/website that lists DRM used by games?
