Hi

I got a Creative Zen Touch 40GB and the software provided does not give the option to upload files other than MP3, WMA and WAV. Is there a way or software that can allow me to upload other types of files on my player. Files like ZIP, JPG, AVI and so on...?

Should have gotten an iPod or a flash drive if you wanted to be able to haul around files. :)

I honestly don't know but I imagine it doesn't support anything other than JPEGs.

1. My Computer
2. You should see the Zen as an external hard drive
3. Move the files to the Zen

at least, it does this with my iPod

I don't know... but I do know that posting the same question in multiple forums is silly.

I am pretty sure that all Zen's require Creative drivers to work, so no hd usage.

There's a driver that you install and then Windows will recognize it as an external disc.

Through one of Creative's software things you install you should also have the opportunity to manage the non-music files.

I'm gonna sell my Zen Touch and get an iPod Photo. Its hard to beat the syncing capabilities of an iPod and iTunes (sorry I'm not a drag and drop person), and the fact that the Zen doesn't function as an external drive without having the driver installed is just a huge PITA.

yeah, as someone had said, the drivers need to be installed. On the upside, you can now drag and drop music without having to index it by opening up any music software, if thats your thing.

to get the best of both worlds, buy an iRiver or Cowon x5 =P
