can someone suggest an email client that does sync between two computers that is free
or tell me how to get this to work
Thanks

forward to a free gmail account with IMAP? I'm not sure if OE uses pst files or not, but I guess you could try hosting that outlook profile on a shared location and see what happens? Either that or set up POP to not delete from the server on download, then it's kind of like IMAP.

Try GoodSync. There is a free version that might be enough for your Outlook stuff.

I was about to download goodsync today but I guess not. I wonder where outlook express store pst files so I can look at true image backup I had with windows xp to my vista notebook

Rottie, OE stores mail wherever you want it to. Open OE, go to Tools/Options/Maintenance, and at the bottom of that screen is where you specify the Store Folder. I keep mine on an external drive and thus it can be moved to any computer, or, simply copy that folder to other computers and designate it as the Store Folder.

I bet one could use Windows Live Mesh on each of the computers such that the file/folder is constantly synced between them (assuming they all have 'net access).

Thanks Corkyg I have to take my desktop pc out of storage room. I want to know if Windows Mail and Outlook 2007 can read/export OE files?

That's a good question. Windows Mail has an import/export function, and it does list OE as an importable format. However - I've never done that. I can't speak for Outlook - never even installed it with Office 2007. That is one of the big reasons I prefer Eudora for mail management. Every folder has two files, and you can move them around on pen drives, etc. OE has a similar system (.idx and .mbx)

Files like that are all excluded by live mesh.
