Is there a way to set up e-mail between Win XP Pro networked computers

That is NOT over the internet, but is simply through the network. We are running 4 XP Pro Dell computers with Office XP Pro installed. They are networked on a Linksys Wireless Cable DSL Router with one hard wired to the router. Our internet is DIAL UP and sharing it sucks (Okay, I am stupid and cannot get it to work so one dials up and all share it -- I had it working once but whenever you reboot the internet dialing computer, sharing went away and could not be reconnected). The poeple in the office would like to be able to communicate with each directly over the network. Can it be done ? How ? Any sites with "directions" ? Help ! Thanks !

Dang it! I have the link for a free program that will do this for you, but it is at home! I wont be home till later tonight. I will post for you then.

Any reason that you want to use e-mail? It might be possible to setup a peered instant messaging system far more simply.

These programs I usually referred to as PopUp.

It came free with Win98 but not WinXP. Search the download sites for the term PoupUP you will find few free, and some good ones for a small fee.

Example: Bopup Messenger.
