Is there a way to see AIM profiles on webpages?

When I use AIM express (the java AIM), I can see people's AIM profiles on an HTML page. Does anyone know how to access those from a computer without having AIM express running?

You need to be logged in to the service in order to retrieve people's profiles. Write your own client, and sure, you could do it.

I think what it does, is uploads the profile somewhere temporarily so that you can view it. Then deletes when you are done.

Actually, it accesses it directly from the user's computer. There's a copy of the profile on your computer where it gets it from. Or...well, maybe it is uploaded when you login to the service. But either way, it's only accessable when the other person is logged in.

Well, I'm assuming moreso that AIM uploads it from your computer when you changed it from within AIM and uploads it upon login. I know that if you change the FTML file directly, it won't update until you re-login to the service. That seems to be how it's done.

Okay, thanks...darn, all i want to do is see the links people put in their profiles since I run Trillian.

Any word on Trillian future versions showing links/colors in profiles?
