If so.. how? I'm going to go through with the XP update, but I'm going to format first, I'd like to save what I want to keep on my other machine until the format is overwith. So how do I save these things?

There's an easier way to back up your inbox. Just select all the files in your inbox, and drag them into a folder on your desktop. Then put that folder on a ZIP or something. Once you have upgraded, you can just drag the files back into your Outlook Inbox. At least, that's the way I've been doing it.

We are talking Outlook here, and not Outlook Express, are we not?
And presumably you're using a Personal Folder?

In that case, just back up the .PST file that you're using.
