Is there a way to play games WO CD

Can I copy the entire disk to the HD? If so, how? I don't like changing the disk for every game.

There are few ways.

One, download a nocd crack. My favorite place is from http://www.megagames.com

Two, rip the cd contents to your hard drive. My favorite program to do this with is Blindwrite.
Going this method you then emulate the image of the cd onto a virtual cdrom, using Daemon Tools

The second of the 2 choices is more work, but you don't have to worry about getting a new cd crack for each game after a patch has been released to make the game work.

I know about no CD cracks, but I want to do it without having a crack for every game

Some games wont run with Daemon tools on. I think specifically some ubisoft games and X2 the threat. I hope you arent pirating .

Every game I have is legal. I don't pirate software, but thank's for being concerned.

you could also use clonecd for this, create an image with clonecd and then load the image in the virtual drive that comes with clonecd

works realy well

I have yet to run into a game that won't work with Daemon tools (try getting the latest download if you're having problems, they've fixed the blacklisting problem.)

Right now Megagames download server for bf1942 is down. BTW, will punkbuster detect this as a hack?

1) Make sure the No-CD you get works for Multiplayer, some don't. As for Punkbuster, it should consider it as a Hack, the only thing that gets changed is CD Detection. Try to play Online and see what happens

If you don't mind paying I know Alcohol 120% can rip the image to your hard drive and you can run it without the CD. Very similar to Daemon Tools except that Alcohol costs something.

If the Readme is a ".nfo" file, drag an drop it into Notepad. I believe that Microsoft blocked NFO files from being opened in a usual way, since it is commonly used by Warez groups. If you are using WinRar, just click on the file then click the View button.

alternatively, right-click on the nfo file and select "open with" notepad.

When ever I go to megagames and click for instance on Star Trek elite force 1.0 ENG no cd, it takes me to the top of the page. This goes for all no cd patches when I try to download.

Double check that. It usually opens another page where you need to select which server to download from. It looks very similar to the previous page, so I can understand the confusion.
