I like to save a lot of my emails (as i'm sure most people do). But every time I reformat my hdd, I end up forwarding every message to myself. Is there a way to move them all at once?

Typically yes. Just find out in the Preferences section which directory your email client stores the files, and then move the entire directory.

You could also export them all to files, burn'em to a CD or something, then import them.

I just copy the files out of the folder and replace them after a reinstall.

I've tried this before, last 2 times i did it Outlook Express wouldn't open with the copied files. I had to delete them for Outlook Express to work again.

if all else fails, you can always just set up another email account, move your emails via drag and drop. then set up the new machine, and move them back.
