I have a tape player I want to hook up to my line in of my audigy 2 so I can listen to it through my computer speakers. I am using vista 64 bit. Is there a way to do that?

Connect the Line Out of the tape deck to the Line In of your soundcard. Play the tape. Go to your audio control panel, find the line in control, make sure it's engaged/turned on. Adjust volume accordingly. Should play fine in Windows Media Player or whatever media player software came with your sound card.

Okay guys thanks. Windows had my line in turned off. Oddly enough in vista I don't need anything running... It just plays whenever I turn on the tape.

I am hooking this up for my wife to do dictation.

The Nakamichi TD1200 would be a perfect match for tapes recorded on the Dragon - indisputably the best cassette deck made ever. ;)

Sorry but the Nakamichi Dragon is the deck that all others were judged against.
