Is there a way to hook up a laptop harddrive to a standard pc?

Is there an adapter or anything to get a laptop harddrive hooked up to a normal pc to get data off?

2.5" to 3.5" adapter is what you need. If you live near Frys they have them. Compusa and Radio shack do not, so don't bother. In that case order online instead. Lots of them on ebay for cheap.

yup...or you could just as easily buy an external casing that would convert a laptop drive to a USB 2.0 device. they should run you about 30.00 or so....

Or you can use one of these external usb enclosures. I'm using one right now pulled a hard drive out of a vaio and im pulling 6 gigs of data off with no issues. Looks like their on sale for 12.99
