Is there a way to get the caller ID information from a cell phone numuber

Change your caller ID to show something interesting then dial the number and hang up, they might call back out of curiosity.

Yeah, I checked around once cause I forgot to find out what the name of my interviewer was... Had his cell though.
 
The answer to your question is yes, if you don't mind breaking numerous (highly fine-intensive) FCC laws. Devices capable of doing these lookups on cell phone networks can be created from components from a few various websites with no programming knowledge and very low technical skills. PM inc.
