Is there a way to extract one file out of a Microsoft System State Backup (Win2000)?

I had one of my registry files corrupted and instead of doing a repair installation and restoring the system state backup I made using Microsoft Backup, is it possible to extract a single file from it?

Go to the Backup click on Restore, select the Media from which you wanna restore the file from and then select the file and restore just that single file.
Under Tools and options select the option to replace the file. By default it is set to do not replace if file exists.
Secondly if you did not do any specific drivers and its just a registry problem try rebooting with last known good configuration.
