I've got a professor who is looking to do this, but doesn't want to take a screenshot, convert, etc. Any third party utilities that can do this? I'm looking but can't find anything right now. :p

If you have Acrobat and Photoshop, you could export the spreadsheet as a pdf, then convert the pdf into a tiff in Photoshop.

He wants to convert from an essentially text file into a graphics format?

The best way I can think to do it would be create a PDF of the document, then use GhostScript or something similar to pull a high-res image off of it.

Does anyone know how I can turn a word doc into an MP3? I downloaded the lyrics to a song and I want to listen to it.

Convert your doc to HTML and run it through this. ;)

It's a chart, not the data, that he wants to convert.

Does the government pay you to be a jackass, or do you just provide that service for free?

That would work just as well, though you'd have to crop the resulting image.

Yeah, that would work. The funny thing is he isn't really looking for a one-time thing - he thinks that excel should have the function built in. :D

I can see Excel having the ability to output a high-res graph as an image file, heck the capability may be there & we just don't know about it.

It would be a nice feature, although TIFF format is probably a little too much to ask for.

That WOULD be a nice feature, I wonder if there's somewhere we can suggest that to?

There's always the printscreen/paste method, but it won't be super high quality
