Is there a way to change the "from" address in e-mail?

hrmmm update---i just found out i can get about a 20-25 minute window of PHYSICAL access to his computer. Can I do more this way? His e-mail client is THUNDERBIRD (muahaha i am slowly affecting him ;) next goal is move him to Firefox)

i'm not trying to spam...lol! I don't care for spamming, and however long it takes its not in my interested.

in the long run I am concerned with getting my degree so i gotta study, and in short run concern is freaking the crap out of my friend

besides, if i was interested in serious spamming i doubt i would be posting for help on anadtech.

Easy way to do it is in outlook express create an account with the e-mail address you want to use. Send an e-mail from that account using your own SMTP program such as QK SMTP. Done.

screw that.

Just telnet to the mailserver port and type in the RAW SMTP commands like we did back in college.

Why not get one of the thousand free email accounts floating around cyberspace and use that email account to email him?

Might I suggest softhome or fast mail, but you could get one from crackdealer.com too.
