I don't care about small items but for larger expensive items I'd like to block 0 feeders.

Only a net negative feedback score can be blocked AFAIK.

If you have an auction, (not BIN), and you had a requirement in your listing that said 10+ or better only may bid, you should be able to block that bidder after he bids by adding them to your blocked buyer list. it means you have to watch your auction a little more closely.

http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/manage_bidders_ov.html.

It's a bit extreme but I can think of no other way.

I have had auctions where I've asked people with zero feedback contact me first before bidding/buying. It doesn't help much.

If everyone blocked people with zero feedback, then no one would ever be able to earn feedback.

If your buyer doesn't pay, you can get your ebay fees reimbursed.

I sometimes wish I can block 0 feeders, but you can't. If they don't pay you open an unpayed item case and in four days you close the case, get your fees back and they get an unpayed item strike. They get two and they will have a hard time buying on Fleabay.

I believe you can set this up and more in your account customized rules for bidders. Reject bidders with feedback less than 1, and also set up rules so when an item sells the buyer must pay immediately, or the sale does not go thru. A lot of rules can be created and established for your account. I especially like the "immediate payment required" rule. Saves the hassle from flakes buying your stuff then backing out of the sale for some lame reason. i.e. my cat needed an operation. My grandmother was in a car accident. I lost my credit card. And my favorite, I was drunk and didn't know what I was doing.

Buyer requirements Hide

Block buyers who:

Have received 2 Unpaid Item strike(s) within 1 Month(s)
Have a primary shipping address in a location I don't ship to
Have a feedback score of -1 or lower
Are currently winning or have bought 1 of my items in the last 10 days and have a feedback score of 0 or lower

Nothing strikes fear into me like seeing a 0 feedback buyer winning something of mine on eBay lol

Just sold a textbook for my wife on eBay for $40 and a new account holder bought it. Even though everything checked out (paypal verified address, account was made day before they bought it) I still paid an extra $2.90 to have signature confirmation just for a slight peace of mind...

If it was a $400 iPad or something, I'd be a little more concerned lol

yeah for item under like 10 or $40 it sucks but not something you'd lose sleep over. For a 1k item it becomes a huge hassle.

Do what I do, keep a tab open for the cancel bid page and one with the block a member page. I do that and any 0 feedback user's bid gets canceled and they get blocked

this is what i've done as well. i also put a note in my listings that if you have 0 feedback to email me before bidding if you are serious about it otherwise you will have your bid cancelled.

last time i used ebay i was trying to sell an extra ps4 i had (the one i bought, i won one from taco bell so i didn't need 2). it had a legit big up until the last 5 seconds and then a 0 feedback bidder was the high bidder. he never once got in contact with me or responded to any emails. i ended up returning the ps4 to amazon.

I wish I could block people who are serial negative feedback leavers. Had some guy win one of my auctions not long ago and got a SNAD case against me. Bent over backwards to help the guy eventually ending in a return. Afterward looking at his feedback left history he leaves at least 50% negative feedback. Pattern of not reading auction description and in general having really unrealistic expectations about used goods.
