i've been addicated to WOW thanks to my friend(well that and i had to pay him some $$$). he is letting me use his account to try out wow (he got it when it came out) and i built up a level 15 preist that i reallly like. but the thing is recently he has been messing with my character and its pissing me off when i'm having fun in westfall enjoying the game and he sends me to "elf land" because "i should go out and see more things" (he has a slightly elitist attitude that i'm doing blizzard a disservice by not going and exploring everything because i've only been to westfall and elywyn forest...despite the fact i'm having a blast anyways in such "bland areas")

so now i wanna buy the game...but the biggest problem is it took me like a month to get my presit to level 15 and to do it i always had to constantly party because i can barely take on some of the monsters on my own~ that and i want to focus on holy preist since its funner for me to heal others while they do damage rather than do the damage myself...so i don't wanna start over

is there a way to have a character transferred between accounts, or will i have to etiehr stop playing, or start all over?

You have to start all over.

It only takes a few hours to get to lvl 15 - hire some kid to play it for you one weekend. And make sure you charge him for it. ;)

I could be completely wrong here, I don't play the game.

But I could swear I saw a post in the past day or two saying that Blizzard changed policy to allow this sort of thing.

Change your solo tactics with your priest. My priest took no longer than my warlock to get through the early levels. At 30, the "/played" time with my priest was actually less than with my warlock.

Set up a self cast with renew, always keep renew up, and just go to town melee with your mace. Get a wand at the auction house as soon as you are able. Doing that wiill vastly improve your solo-ability.

I love soloing with my holy spec priest. It can be tough until you get renew, but once you do, it's easy... battles take a while, but I generally leave a battle with a normal mob with 90-100% health and mana, so I can go straight to the next. I like fighting mobs that are runners, because they go out and fetch the next mob for me, I don't even have to run to find more stuff to kill :)

I do not kill as fast with the priest as with my warlock or rogue, as my DPS is about half, but I can often handle more situations solo than I can with either my rogue or my warlock.

Don't believe people who say that holy priests cannot solo well. They can. I can only assume those people who say that holy priests cannot solo well are people who have not tried the right tactics, or those who have not played a holy priest at all and are making assumptions.

Sink your talent points into improved renew and spiritual healing, then keep inner fire and renew up at all times and you can heal faster than most normal green mobs will hurt you, you can melee/wand away indefinitely.

Also, the fact that you know the quests in those areas will allow you to level MUCH faster than the first time you went through those areas (assuming you choose the same starting location). Familiarity with the area can really accelerate the rate at which you gain levels.
