Is there a way i can limit speed...?

I have four computers connected via hub sharing an adsl line. is there a way i can lower the maximum speed on two of them and have the other two use their max speed? Software? windows tweak? anything would be helpful. Thanks.

most routers (read Cisco and Nortell) have QoS and rate limiting functions built into the software. That would enable you to control bandwidth based on IP address.

FreeBSD and dummynet. Of course, you'd have to replace your hardware router with a box running FreeBSD.
