Is there a such thing as a "low-profile" 120mm or 80mm case fan?

I had to extend my drive cage for my 6-drive RAID5 array and doing so means that I can no longer attach the cage which holds my case's intake fan. So, I'm going to have 7 drives in my system and even less cooling than I had before. Anyway, I can sort of squeeze a standard 80mm fan behind the drive cage when I slide the drives as far back as they will go. Of course, I'd like a little breathing room so if a slimmer "low profile" tyoe of case fan exists, I'd love to know where I can get one :)

Thnx!

I can help with that... go to www.digikey.com and search for "fba fan". This brings up all Panaflo models. Now filter for 12-volt and 80mm x 15mm, and you get the L1A and H1A thinline Panaflo 80mm models. I think I can find another source for the L1A if you don't want to buy them from Digikey.

15, 25, and 38mm are the only thicknesses I've seen for 80mm. 25mm is most common, and behind it are the high-flow Tornado's at 38mm, and then the very rare 15mm thick fans. It's not easy to find them; I am surprised that Newegg has them. Be nice if they were a bit cheaper though, but it's still better than Digikey's prices.

600GB (I loose 120GB for the fail-safe redundancy) not including the 100GB WDSE boot drive and the other drives I don't know what to do with. Another 100GB WDSE will probably be used to shuttle files to and from the fileserver. The 80GB WD 5200RPM 2MB cache drive needs an RMA before I decide what to do with it. Same goes for the 61.5GB IBM 60GXP.

Thnx for the fan info guys!

Anyone think there will be a vibration or magnetic issue being so close to the drives? That standard case fan I crammed in there touches them and the front of the case.
