Is there a software like memtest86 for video ram?

well today i was about to use a CAD program i've been using for the past 3 years, Rhino3D. This program is kinda like autocad in the way it accepts command, text line driven, and it has snaps and such. But anyway, When i tried to snap to a endpoint of a box a square filled with garage would appear around my snap. What should appear is a little box that says the text of the type of snap it did, like end, mid, perp.... . It was working fine two days ago :(

I've tried different drivers from 6.9->7.5 and reformat WinXP two times so far and still the problem continues. I know it isn't the software as i have said i know how it works and what it is suppose to do. This Rhino3D even has it where you can enable software rendering instead of OpenGL and this artifact during snapping still happens...

Now if i do not use ATI drivers and leave the Microsoft default Video VGA drivers, the artifact does not appear to be there :(

So i want to check my video ram as, i do know, i think it isn't functioning correctly, but this is a guess though. So is any problem like memtest86 available?

thanks

Well i was about to disable the problem by going into display properties, troubleshoot, and turn hardware acceleration down one tick so:

"Disable cursor and bitmap accelerations"

Umm so does this mean my video card's bitmap acceleration is broken?

You could try something like the Artifact Tester in ATI Tray Tools. It's more likely it's just a buggy driver, though.

yeah the artifact scanner gives artifacts in 20 seconds... but from what i read it can give artifacts and not be a problem with the hardware so that why i was asking about such a test like memtest86
