is there a site that lists protein, fat, carbs, calories of common fruits, vegs, meats, etc?

There has to be something better than fitday and sparkpeople. I remember using a site in college that was a lot more intuitive and contained all kinds of restaurant food as well.

Say you ate cereal, there were so many options on entering how much and with what kind of milk etc. I

I use calorie-count.com to get a general idea. It's never going to be exact anyways :p

I haven't found an issue with fitday after using it for a couple years except sometimes the serving size field in the drop-down gets cut off. Unless you're going to chain restaurants there is a lot of variation in ingredients/preparation. Some of those restaurants have nutritional info on their websites or at calorieking. Anything you make at home can be calculated from a combination of creating custom food entries and fitday's database.
