Interesting. Winkey +d shows the desktop, winkey +m closes all the windows, but leaves yzdock visible.

winkey + d is much better because the windows aren't minimized

thus you can hit winkey + d again and it will restore all the windows, very nice!

Winkey + M

Nope :p

Hey I press Winkey + M and I see my desktop. :p

the question is can you bring all those windows back up now after doing win+m.

damnit... now all my other windows are minimized and i'll have to maximize each one.

is there a shortcut for maximize all. (similar to win+m - minimize all).

Win+M followed by Win+Shift+M will restore all your windows to where they were before.

The subtle difference is for programs that have modal windows. You know how when you get an about dialog in a program, you can't click anywhere else in the program until you get rid of the dialog? The about dialog is a modal window.

Win+M will not affect a program that has a modal window showing. Win+D will.
