is there a rule on ebay about selling stuff not in your possession?

some guy is giving me the runaround about his supplier not being able to fulfull my "order". is it against ebay policy to sell something not in your physical possession? or is that just the rule in the FS/FT forum.

yes...there is a time limit, but I don't recall what it is. You'll have to keeo searching ebay's website

There is no rule. It is a legitimate way of doing business on eBay.

the time limit is like 30 days or something. its actually pretty long.


but as for dropshippers i have no trouble with them. if they are willing to take the risk whats the big deal? though if they give you a run around for longer then a few days they should refund your money.

lol, you can't just give him a time limit, it has to be agreed to, or based on the rules created and enforced by paypal/ebay.

The wheelchair I bought from eBay was drop-shipped and it shipped out and was delivered quickly.

you're right, I really don't have a problem with dropshippers except when they use their "huge order volume" and "supply issues" as an excuse for poor service.
