Is there a refresh rate fix for XP Pro and 9700 Pro

I recently built a new rig with a 9700 Pro on Win XP Pro and remembered that there is a problem with XP and refresh rates in games (locking them at 60 or 75?). Is there a good fix available for this problem? I run the desktop at 1024x768 at 85hz, if that's information needed for the fix.

Go in your advanced properties,then got to the displays tab, then click on monitor properties then use the DirectX override option.
