I want to enter in the names of all the places to eat around here, and it randomly pick one

This is like a second-week assignment in any c class. Which means that I probably couldn't do it. :p

you need a program (wtf is a proggy) to decide this for you? :confused:
if it's a hw assignment and you can't do it, drop the class now, in fact drop the major.

Could do the same thing in Excel and use the rand function. Assign each restaurant a number between 0 and 1. Round off the rand function to 2 decimal places.

it's not a hw assignment (altough I had one to make something that does exactly this about 2 years ago) but don't have a clue to remember how to do it

you have no idea. There's about 30 places to eat around here, and we end up eating at the same 4 places everyday because one person in a group of 6 won't like some restaurant or some crap
