Is there a program to rip playstation game music?

Hey there, just wondering if all you experts know of a fairly simple way to capture music from playstation games. I am looking for a program or a technique that would help me out in doing this. Anybody have some thoughts/ tips? You know I have to have my mega man music when I cruise down the street! Thanks for any replies

Well with most Playstation 1 games the music is standard CD audio tracks on the disc. Use any cp ripping program to get them. A few I've seen also put regular WAV files in a directory on the disc. Just copy them to your HD and burn

Thx steve, the only thing is that for some games the files have weird extensions. Usually the games have only one "track" as read by a CD player. Supposedly, the .xa files are the music and sound files. I could be wrong, but this is what I have found out so far.

If you want to play the videos off the disc (normally .STR) and the XA format music you'll need this player:

hey thanks. I found a good program also. It is PSX MC which can read and convert the movies and music/ sound effects. Thanks a lot for all the help.
