Hey there, just wondering if all you experts know of a fairly simple way to capture music from playstation games. I am looking for a program or a technique that would help me out in doing this. Anybody have some thoughts/ tips? You know I have to have my mega man music when I cruise down the street! Thanks for any replies

Well with most Playstation 1 games the music is standard CD audio tracks on the disc. Use any cp ripping program to get them. A few I've seen also put regular WAV files in a directory on the disc. Just copy them to your HD and burn :)

Thx steve, the only thing is that for some games the files have weird extensions. Usually the games have only one "track" as read by a CD player. Supposedly, the .xa files are the music and sound files. I could be wrong, but this is what I have found out so far.

hey thanks. I found a good program also. It is PSX MC which can read and convert the movies and music/ sound effects. Thanks a lot for all the help.
