Like if you download a huge file, and know where you downloaded it from, but its "corrupted" is there a program that will only download the files that are corrupted or what? cause i hate being on 56k and stupid computer freezes in middle of d/l and i have to ctrl alt del to reboot and when i get done just to find out the download is corrupt.

thats what i use to d/l. if my computer freezes and i have to ctrl alt del, i guess it loses some info cause it always gives me a corrupt file.

getright always worked when my comp froze...my friend had probs though, try running scandisk before you start downloading again and see if it fixes the file.

Also, in the getright configh, there is an option for how many KB it rolls back when it resumes a file. So lets say you download 100KB and you stop the download, and later come back and resume it, it will rollback 4KB to 96KB and start downloading from there...
Set rollback to at least 4KB that is what mine is at, and you might want to try higher.

Hell, the default IE downloader yields corrupt downloads, and i'm on cable!! Give Download Accelerator or Getright a try, they've both worked wonders for me when i used to be a narrowbander.

Download Accelerator is way cool. It's even better when you're on DSL cuz it opens up multiple mirrors and downloads super-fast

i used to use getright and gozilla...
later i switched to download accelerator...
i still like this one particular old version of gozilla better, but i forgot the version number
