Is there a Power saver utility for XP??

Are there any software utilities or plug ins for XP Pro that I can use on my laptop to reduce the power consumption off battery such as the power saver option that exists in MS VISTA? Thanks!

You have power saving options in XP. Go to control panel and select power options.

Vista has a profile based system for power saving, it's much better than XP but I'm not sure what you're expecting. One of the interesting features allows you to set a min and max CPU throttle.
